Organizational Support
Organizational support means that the organization structures
itself and its processes to support the project teams.
Simple examples of organizational support include:
- An accounting system that enables
project managers to quickly and accurately determine
their budget status from a common
database. “Teams don’t fail, systems fail.”
- Executive oversight groups that remove roadblocks for individual
projects and prioritize among competing projects.
- Funding for project management training and project support
personnel.
If you have ever found your project success compromised by
administrative processes, then you understand what organizational
support is not. |
