Self
Assessment and the Value
of Project Management Training
There is a saying in the training world that “learning
hasn’t taken place until behaviors change.” This
is certainly true for adopting the project management method
in an organization.
Time and again we have seen that, for an organization to be
broadly successful at project management, individuals
at all levels of the organization must progress up the learning/
behavior
chain shown on the left.
In this section, and in the rest of the course, we are going
to emphasize the behaviors that are involved in applying the
project management method; and we will demonstrate that changing
behavior is what leads to lasting results and improving project
management effectiveness in an organization.
