The Assessment Inventory

The key to success as a project manager is being able to state your current management performance and adopt an action plan for continual improvement. BMC’s Project Management Assessment Inventory is a tool by which you can baseline your current project management skills, identify areas for improvement, and later re-assess to track progress.

The Assessment Inventory is a list of 50 questions, 10 in each of the 5 management functions. Each question is presented as a statement of a project management behaviors, and you are asked to rate the percentage of the time that you (or others) use each behavior. The 50 questions not only provide a basis for continuous self-improvement, they are also an excellent list of recommended “best practices.”
