Senior Management Support Groups (continued)
Some companies have made effective use of senior management forums where project managers can regularly and openly discuss problems or authority issues. Senior managers also use these forums to discuss strategic issues and review key performance or financial indicators of the projects. Project teams regularly report to one or more working groups of key executives who make business decisions, establish priorities, facilitate cross-organizational communication, and provide coaching to aid in conflict resolution.

The following two examples show both extensive and minimum use of review groups in organizations to coordinate suites of matrix projects.
