Risk Analysis – Quantitative
Quantitative risk analysis is performed on high risks prioritized during Qualitative Analysis. The quantitative process analyzes those risk events and assigns a numerical rating. It also helps you make decisions in areas of uncertainty.

Quantitative Risk process uses techniques like Monte Carlo Simulation and decision tree analysis to:

  • Quantify outcomes for the project and the probabilities.

  • Assess the probability of achieving project objectives.

  • Identify priority risks by quantifying their contribution to overall project risk.

  • Identify realistic cost, schedule, scope and quality targets, given the project risks.

  • Determine the best project decision when some outcomes are uncertain.
