Risk Analysis – Qualitative, threats and opportunities
Risks that have a negative impact on objectives if they occur (threats) and are in the high risk zone of the matrix (dark gray), may require priority action and aggressive mitigation. Threats in the low risk zones (medium gray) may not need proactive action, but may be placed on a watch list. Threats in the medium risk zones (light gray) may be assigned a contingency reserve, and be monitored actively at each team meeting when any of them hit their trigger date.

For opportunities, the high opportunity zones are the dark gray. They are the ones that can be obtained most easily and offer the greatest benefits, so they should be targeted first.
